I know that this film has been out for a while, but I finally got around to watching it with my kids.

No way this deserved such bad reviews.

Critics must be really jaded.

I agree with you. I'm not a big Cuba Gooding Jr fan, but this was a pretty good movie. If you get the DVD it actually has 'Radio' and the real coach in it....pretty good viewing experience

not jaded, really. They just hate sucky, trite, banal movies like this piece of cr@pola. What a waste of good studio money to make this trash. It is possible you are the only person on earth to like this movie.

Maybe you're the only one who hates it?

I personally thought it was nice that they made a movie with the theme of "Let's be nice to each other". It wasn't sucky or trite. It had a big message about living life.

I'm sorry that you, and I guess a lot of others, missed it.

I noticed that "School of Rock" got a 8.2/10. I didn't care that movie at all and neither did my kids. I kept looking at my watch waiting it for it to end.

I would have reversed the two ratings.

I could see how critics would hate it, they saw it as a sapfest, and I sorta agree, but I thought it was a really good movie overall.

7.5/10. It was a pretty good flick. If you're looking for a family movie, it's pretty good.

The featurettes on the DVD are really good. I was impressed with the director and Ed Harris. You get the impression that the people who worked on this film put their heart in it.

from the previews, it looked absolutely horrible. cuba gooding jr is a terrible actor. it's really sad that he's the best young black man hollywood can come up with.

I am originally from Spartanburg, SC which is near Anderson. I really liked the movie. In high school I even ran cross country at Hanna high school. It was really cool when Clemson University let Radio run down the hill. If you haven't seen a Clemson home game then you don't know what the most exciting 20 seconds of football are :)

Anyways, I felt the movie had a good message and I was happy to see Radio get some good press.
