Well after seeing about 30 of the DeVos for governor ads, I decided to educate myself. The idea of replacing Granholm for someone with business knowledge.
So anyway, I wikipedia'd dick up and lo and behold he's the son of Rich DeVos, the founder of Amway. Amazing... MLM pyramid scheme company ceo is running for governor. Now I know how he can afford all those ads.
It's pretty interesting when you read his bio - apparently Amway/Quixtar is heavily in the manufactoring business. This is what cracked me up though:
"Dick?s knowledge of manufacturing is not limited to large companies. The small manufacturing business he and his wife Betsy operate in Holland makes closet and garage organizers you can buy locally. With thirty-one years of solid business experience, Dick knows how to make manufacturing work in Michigan."
aww a little garage and closet organizer company...interesting business for someone that's worth 1.5bill and #101 on forbes magazine
