1) To play WoW, i have to buy the DVD? Is there a way to (legally) download the Game from them or purchase the Game and Key online without buying a physical WoW DVD?

Reason i am asking is i need WoW in english...and here in the shops its all German with no information if it is multilang. Girlfriend doesnt speak German.

2) Is it possible to get/buy WoW in Europe and play on US servers?
Eg. ordering a WoW DVD from UK and then get a US gamecard and play on US servers?

3) Is there any significant lag time involved playing from EU but on US servers?

4) Probably stupid Question: Gf wants to play, so do i. This means two WoW keys, right? Any troubles playing with two players on two accounts under same IP?

5) Anything else i need to know?

6) Could we buy german WoW DVD, but change language? Does the servers you can play only depend on the game-card/account...or also on where you buy the DVD?

1) There are several sites on the web that let you buy the game digitally and download it. Off the top of my head direct2download.com is one of these sites.

2) As far as I know all you have to do is buy a US copy of the game and that will allow you to connect to US servers. If you buy it anywhere in Europe, including the UK, you will be connecting to EU servers.

3) Lag will vary depending on connection and the server you play on, but chances are you will have at least a steady 500ms latency.

4) No issues using 2 accounts from the same IP address

5) dont know lol

6) To play on US servers you need to buy a US copy of the game (See answer #2)

I'll elaborate a bit on TurnX's response which already covered most of your questions.

2. The answer is yes and I would recommend just downloading the game digitally and purchasing a cd key through Blizz.

3. I do not believe so. One of our previous guild members lived in Germany and he never complained or performed poorly due to lag.

4. Yes, you need 2 keys. No, you will not have issues using the same IP.

Yes, you can play just fine on American servers being in Europe. You must make sure that you do buy an American/Oceanic copy of the game or else your account will be created as an EU account which can only log into the EU servers. Also, I believe you can only use American game cards with these as well.

If you're both playing from the same computer (never both playing at the same time in otherwords) then you don't need 2 keys. You can just have 2 different characters on the same account. If you have 2 computers and want to play together at the same time then you do need 2 keys.

You can buy it directly from blizz and download from their website legally.

I never actually bought WoW discs I just activated online to get it.

yeah Blizz along with a bunch of other online retailers sell digital versions... you pay for the key then are able to download the game.

I'm pretty sure you can get the game directly through Blizzard's website (including the expansion). What's nice is that so long as you remember your account name+pass, you can download and install the game as many times as you want and on any computer.
