just wondering if anyone has any input... I've been considering dropping my alchemy profession lately. there are already a couple people in the KoN guild are alchemists, and I haven't really been using the skill for myself all that much except to make healing potions.

I'm planning on keeping herbalism, though, as it's already at 250 and is a good source of money (in addition to supplying herbs for people to make potions for me).

anyone have any thoughts as to what might be useful to take in its place? I've been debating between either skinning or mining for more cash, or enchanting for something useful (though potentially a money sink). there's also the possibility of engineering, but would it be a total pia to take engineering without mining?

I'd go with mining if I were in your situation. I had skinning and leatherworking before I switched to mining and engineering, and when I choose to sell what I mine I usually make a good bit of profit off of it. I never really made any money off of skinning, and leatherworking was a complete joke for Hunters.

Enchanting is a huge waste of time, energy, and money. You can make more money off of the mats for the enchants than the enchants themselves.

Engineering is a very fun prof, but not having mining to compliment it would make lvling it very expensive.

I agree with mining. It will bring in more money than skinning and Wern could use some support in that area for his blacksmithing.

i've found that skinning is much more convenient and profitable than mining. I just don't like taking time to look for mining nodes when i can simply gather resources after a kill. You may not mind as much, though!

One thing to consider: if you have herbalism and mining, i don't believe you can track herb and mining nodes simultaneously - i believe you will need to toggle between the herb and mining node 'sensor'. can someone confirm this?

It's true. Either you track herbs, or minerals, but not both at the same time.
