Wow... I'm suprised that so many people are still playing WoW. I got bored with it after 6 months, and it's been out for now for about 18.

Well the number of active subscriptions hit 6 million in Feb so I doubt it's dying out any time soon :p

i hope nobody was on lightning's blade

the realm is soo bad, it doesnt have a queue, it instead makes you suffer for an unknown amount of time during peak hours. it makes switching characters a nightmare. couple this with random disconnects from the server and you get a recipe for pulling hairs out of your head. not to mention the horrendous lag, even during non peak hours.

anyone from LB?

Unfortunately, you'll probalby need to go download all the 1.10 updates for CT_Raid and your other mods, as this patch has broken a great many of them.

They need to hire some better Devs and Sys Admins 'cause this sh!t happens way too often. And it's not like Blizzard doesn't get paid well. So much for ZG raid tonight. Sigh...

This is why I like GW. Ever since I started playing the server has been down only once. And that was because there was an economy glitch while they were uploading the expansion.

Patch days historically for me (past 3 months - about 3 patches) have been pretty uneventful (a good thing)... I guess it's just the "big" patches that cause problems ?

The servers tend to be down until about 4-5pm (central) every Tuesday. It is the big patches where they are down much later.

This describes any server. There seems to be a 'grass is greener' mentality concerning WoW lag; the fact is somewhere along the line Blizzard decided that players would be ok with an average of x CPU cycles and y "real" latency (eg. actual server-player updates, not just ping). It would result in much frustration, but not enough for many people to quit. This means profits via a smaller expenditure on hardware. All servers are as you describe, give or take. A couple of the low-pop ones might actually be decent, but only until they open up transfers. Ahh, modern business...

OMFG I have an account I played for like 10 days. Should I go back and try it just until wow comes back?

Nope.

Ah that's right, I'll have to disable Cosmos too until I find out how it's working. I've only been playing for 3 months here.

This has not been true for me... at least not the server I'm on... as a matter of fact, they were even early last week. This is actually the first Tuesday I've experienced that they aren't back by 2 or 3pm ET.

Cosmos is the suck! CTmod, and random individual mods are your friend. Seriously, customize your own UI, you'll thank me in the end.

I could spend the time to download random mods to completely change my UI, but I'd rather be playing the game :) I've seen a lot of videos with different mods, and I still like my setup better.

this is why man had to make pills like cialis and viagra... to counter the penis-softening of things like WoW.
