WoW Patch 3.3 messed up the game for anyone else?

There was dvd versions of the original (not sure about BC), and the collectors editions always had both cd and dvd (wrath might just have dvd not sure).

Yea, both my vanilla and bc discs are dvds, got them out of the battle chest.

And for those of you that don't have WOTLK (oh the insanity), you can actually copy all of the install cds into a directory and install from the harddrive or burn one dvd that will install the whole thing in one go.

Related side note - if you want to reinstall WoW for some reason, just copy the entire directory where you want it - no need to actually go through the install process.

Upgrading your OS? Just copy your entire WoW directory to an external HD, install OS, copy directory back. MUCH faster than reinstalling.

Yea, I did this when I built my new computer. You can put it on an internal harddrive too and just move that : )
