WoW or the Sims 2

Do you want a game or a toy?

You'll grow tired of Sims 2 in a month or two. WoW will last at least a year, probably much more. Play the open beta, it's coming soon and is FREE.

EDIT: The amount you'd spend on Sims2 expansions would probably be more than the monthly fees for WoW. And you still wouldn't be busy after a week of the expansion.

I don't gotta pay a jacked up monthly fee to play Sims 2 every month (and it also doesn't hurt that I got it for $22 from JCPenney.com as did a ton of us).

That being said, I think I'd enjoy playing a game with some resemblance to real-life than to play a game with a bunch of fairy creatures and wizards 😉

Just last night on Sims 2, I woke up, made Woohoo with my wife before getting a shower and taking a dump. I fixed some pancakes then did a little workout on the exercice machine. I played a little SSX3 then headed off to work. I got a promotion at work with better hours, then came home to a nice spaghetti dinner that my wife made. We watched some TV then went to the grocery store to buy some groceries and a movie. We came back, stocked up the fridge and watched some more TV. My wife went to go paint a little and I got some chips. We made woohoo again and then fell asleep 😉

you guys should read the BNET forums these people are read die hards

posting how they are taking a week off work to play this game etc.

i find it hilarious some people would go to such great lengths but

nonetheless this game is going to be sweet

for alot their is no "hype" to live up to as well since pretty much everyone on there has played on the stress test and just are wanting more

Ok, um.. that sounds really boring 😛 But anyway, don't knock mmogs till you've tried one. The ~$13/month buys new content and the massively multiplayer experience in a persistent world, it's nice 🙂

I've personally never been able to get into the whole fairy/dwarfs/unicorns/dragons/magaician sorta thing. Maybe that's why I can't get into LOTR. For me, it's more about the "human" factor. The current games in my stable:

BF1942
BF: Vietnam
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
LOMAC
The Sims 2

Eh, maybe it's just me 😉

I've never been able to rationalize paying for a game to own it, and then paying more to be able to play it. WoW looks nice, but sorry, I'm not down with that leech action.

Lineage 2 > WoW.

Hah you kidding me? Quests in Lineage 2 blow ass, gameplay is boring as hell. WoW has amazing atmosphere and its a ton of fun. I played the Lineage 2 open beta and thought it was pretty boring. The WoW stress test amazed me
