wow on iphone ?

Diablo 3 will end up on the iphone and tablets, too. Mark my words. Why else is the gameplay so dumbed down?

I mean, how many skill slots are there? 6. How many buttons does an x-box 360 controller have? 8, counting the two triggers. One trigger to change target, other trigger for potion. Done.

I could see Blizzard bringing the new Pet Battles from Mists of Pandaria into a mobile application. WoW itself? I doubt it. You may be able to do simple things, but I'd hate to try and raid on it. 😛

Having WoW mobile would be a nice addition but I think it's unrealistic and more of a gimmick then anything else.

But the idea itself would be a interesting discussion. We'll have to look at progression of mobile devices, their platform, and their ability to potentially be more mobile for gaming then current/future laptops. Even so I think we are far from that.

Didn't diablo 2 only have 2 skills at any given time?

no you could map more, but most builds only used like 4, not really any different then D3

however i would like to see my phone catch on fire trying to display all the crap that goes on in a 25 man raid

"Maybe we'll stumble on the great way to put WOW on the phone - maybe we won't, but we're certainly looking into it."

no news here, same thing you'd here about any of there products and same line they've used with regard to D3 on consoles.

Intel is developing knights ferry/larrabee to bring photo-realistic video games to your iPhone or tablet via the cloud. For slower games where reaction times are not important it makes perfect sense.

With diablo 2, I would remap about 12 keys. QWERT and ASDFG and B and V. It was needed if you wanted to combo with an assassin or switch auras/offensive skills as a paladin to the situation. I wished that was the case for Diablo 3 but they dumbed it down to the lowest common denominator and you can't switch skills without a long 10-20sec cool down or going through their unefficient menu system.
