yummy.. it said in the article it was 264 CPus though, not 256, or am I just being dumb (as usual? not that it matters; its still a hella lot of processing power)
 
the extra 8 are to control the distribution of the data, and dtat management, etc..... thats a lotta schtuff....
 
300 GigaFlops. Yawn. 🙂

Remember those calculations we did awhile back? As I recall, our seti crunching came out around 270 GigaFlops, and we guesstimated about .5 TeraFlop for all the projects combined.

OTOH, that is pretty impressive with just 256 multiple processors.
