I didn't even bother to unlock it, just left it at the default multiplier of 10 and stuck it in the IWill KK266, at 133MHz, then kept moving it up. I havent found where it won't post or boot yet. FOP32-1 is what I am cooling it with. This one, may become my personal bird.
Yep, just BSOD'd at 1550. Now back down and try again til I stabilize it. I'd be happy at 1.5 even on this, and I think it will, if I can keep it cool.
Oh, oh, I'll be the first to ask. Is there any pertinent info that would indicate why this chip is doing so well (ie blue core, newer week, markings, etc.)?
Some people have had trouble with getting some of these IWill boards to go at 133MHz fsb jumper selected, but no problem with the right chip. I don't think I will be doing any loctite on these babies.
At Overclockersworkbench.com they reported that some 1 GHz week 5 tbirds were stable at 1.5 GHz, and the mod was supposed to have some follow-up info, but I haven't seen anything else about these pumped up l GHz chips till compuwiz1 discovered this batch . BTW, how do you tell what week the cpu is?
compuwiz1 you got lucky w/ that 1ghz. went to local shop 4 days ago looking for that code. well bought 1ghz(200mhz) diff. code but stable @1.333 on default voltage. still i say lucky you.
