I'm on a 1GHz bird that I just booted at 1.5GHz! Hmmm, 1650, or 17 with pelt?
500MHz overclock, that works.

Record on a 1GHz for me, til now was 1410. :)

It's in a test rig, but I just rebooted at 1530. :)

I didn't even bother to unlock it, just left it at the default multiplier of 10 and stuck it in the IWill KK266, at 133MHz, then kept moving it up. I havent found where it won't post or boot yet. FOP32-1 is what I am cooling it with. This one, may become my personal bird. :)

Yep, just BSOD'd at 1550. Now back down and try again til I stabilize it. I'd be happy at 1.5 even on this, and I think it will, if I can keep it cool.

Oh, oh, I'll be the first to ask. Is there any pertinent info that would indicate why this chip is doing so well (ie blue core, newer week, markings, etc.)?

They're week 8, blue core, regular "B", not "C', which would indicate these are 200MHz fsb.

And I got 9 more to try. yipee! :D

OEM

Some people have had trouble with getting some of these IWill boards to go at 133MHz fsb jumper selected, but no problem with the right chip. I don't think I will be doing any loctite on these babies. :)

Well, guys, the batch seems to be a good one. I now have 3 of these puppies, more to test.

One only did 1470...darn......a 1GHz core, remember.

Ram is Infineon 128Mb, single sided at CAS2,

Running chips at 1.85v, FOP32, Arctic Silver. :)

Sharpstick, if the base core does not matter to you, I can probably get you one of these chips. :)

At Overclockersworkbench.com they reported that some 1 GHz week 5 tbirds were stable at 1.5 GHz, and the mod was supposed to have some follow-up info, but I haven't seen anything else about these pumped up l GHz chips till compuwiz1 discovered this batch . BTW, how do you tell what week the cpu is?

Well here are the numbering on them:
AXIA0108BPAW The 01 is year 2001, and the 08 is week 8.

The AXIA code is rarely found on 1GHz Birds, I just got lucky. :)
