WOW my xp wont allow me to run MS office 2000!!

it installs fine but whenever I try to run an application (frontpage, powerpoint, excel) it opens, but it just closes quickly (less than 1 sec)

is it because the cd key might be a pirated copy?? (I got it from a friend)

Yup it's because it is pirated... I know how to get it working, but then I would have to kill you
