Fortunately, I completely owned him at Hungry Hungry Hippo!

Got my son Chutes and Ladders and Candyland for his birthday this weekend. A friend gave him Hungry Hungry Hippo. Much fun was had.

if i remember correctly, chutes and ladders and candyland are both games of luck. you will lose half the time to one opponent.

hungry hippos though...that is a game of lightning reflexes. the thing i liked about that game is that if i was getting beat bad, i could always swallow a marble and become the center of attention for a day.

Yeah, when it comes to games of luck I don't have any. Anything that involves rolling the dice, etc. I've learned to stay away from them if at all possible. My son doesn't seem to have fallen into that trap as he was getting all the good spins that allowed him to quickly jump up the board while I kept hitting all the chutes.

So....how many did you stick up your nose?

Wait until they beat you at Memory... 😉

I'll know I have Alzheimer's at that point. 😀

I'm going to start teaching him chess when he turns four. If he beats me then, I'll know that I just need to either go jump off a cliff or set myself up to be his manager. 😉

No biggie. I get beaten at both games by my four year old (and her stuffed animals) on a routine basis. It keeps me grounded. 😛
