Wow... my friend is not being reasonable

Turkish

Lifer
Normally I support "Bros before Hos" motion, but my friend is not being reasonable.

He knows I wanted to go out with this one girl for a while. Although him and I agreed on going to the "The Day after Tomorrow", I got the chance to take this girl out tonight. She is out of town for summer, and came back for a few days and I am taking her to bowling tonight. Well I told my friend we'll have to watch the movie tomorrow because this is a special situation, but now he is upset.

Am I being an ass? (I know most of you will say "Yes".)

I'll read responses when I come back. Bye.

I don't think you're being an ass. He probably should have understood. It's not like you were going to just stand him up or something.

He's being unreasonable, a special circumstance presented itself and you should not have to miss out because of him.

your friend is being an ass, if the girl was going to be around for the rest of the summer, i would understand his point but she isnt so he is being unreasonable

Cliff notes:

You have a choice: go on a date with a guy or a woman.

How hard is that? The choice is obvious.

Nope, dating and the possibility of sex always comes before friends. Duh...

Anyone who says otherwise is a lying hypocritical a$$.

For once I agree with you.

Bros before hoes for sure.

So if your bro gets a chance to take a girl out he's been wanting to for a while and has to break plans, you ask him if there's anything he needs, wish him luck, and send him on his way.

Heh thanks for the support people. Nah, my friend is not gay. I think he is just bored out of his mind in this empty town (college town, everyone is gone for summer), so he was just upset. Oh well, I'll buy him beer tomorrow to get things better.

Why is bowling all of a sudden "in"? I dont get it, bowling sux ass!

Actually I think its a good first date ... I would have taken her to dinner but it was already past dinner time and movies = no good for dates.
