Finally found the Q-Fan control in the Bios, has to update the bios for the option to appear...

Anyway, as im sure some of you know from my previous threads, Cool & Quiet on my A64 3200+ has given me some amazing temps (32C Case, 32C CPU).... Well now with Q-Fan on, my CPU Fan is off and my temps only went up slightly. Its been off for over 10 minutes now and she's still runnin great, sure as hell does freak me out though :D

Isn't qfan meant to go down to 11/16 at the lowest? At least it does for the p4p800 deluxe...

I panic when I dont see that fan spinning..
I turned it on for 2 boots.. both times it would spin really fast when i pressed power button .. then it would go off all the way.. then my bitching betty would stop boot and yell at me.. CPU FAN IS NOT RUNNING!

dumb mouthy computer...
whose bright Idea was it to give the ASUS boards a voice that is akin to.. your door is ajar.. your seatbelt is not fastened...

Yes please tell us. What heatsink are you using.
Been a long time since I have seen a PC processor that could be passively cooled!

It works because he's using an Athlon 64. It has this amazing "new" technology that's been around for months called Cool n Quiet which throttles CPU speed and power consumption when not needed. Thus, the CPU is able to be passively cooled when in min power state.
