I just looked at my network connection status, and it says you have been connected for 71 days. That means I have not restarted or shut down my computer in 71 days. I have even survived a couple of blackouts...I have a UPS. I have Windows 2000 SP2, and I leave it running day and night. I always have AIM open, and I surf for a couple of hours a day, and play music at night while i am falling asleep. So how long do you leave your computer running for?

437 days. Win2k :)

Shut it down when i had to move apartments.

And the best part of it? I don't have a UPS either.

Just over a day. Win2k pro. I keep having my CD burner dissapearing so a reboot fixes it.

48 hrs was the longest uptime on my computer... I don't usually leave it on day and night, so that was a while ( I left it on because my parents needed it while I was away for a weekend). I run WinXP, and don't see why I couldn't leave it running for longer... i just don't.

I had about 2 weeks of uptime runnign Win2k sp2. Then my sister-in-law came over to d/l some music and make a CD, so I go to Jack in the Box to get some food. I come back a little while later after stopping in staples to look for a new mouse, which I got a Intellemouse Explorer, and teh computer was shut off!

Me to my sister-in-law!

See This - you haven't broken any records yet. ;) The top listing was up for ~3.5 years.

My computer has been on for 53 days - had to turn it off to move it, or it'd be ~3 months (as long as I've been in this apartment)

I've left my computer on for 27 days. Max. This is running on Windows 98 with UPS. I had to reboot when I downloaded a Microsoft Critical Updates package from the "Windows Update" site.

My record is only about 2 weeks, with Win2k Pro. The parents yell at me if my computer stays on all the time when I'm not home.

I could easily go longer tho

<< you guys are running mighty high electricity bills :) >>

Yep. When comp was in my room, I used to turn it off nightly (too much noise), now that its in a separate room, I turn it off nightly since my parents complain about electricity.

Longest has been like 6 days or so one time.....

Of course, my pride has always been when the counter on my DSL software (the one that counts "Bytes Received") overflowed in one night when I downloaded 6GB of music and movies :D
