When Sharon takes office, as he likely will, then we'll really see how brutal things can get over there. In case anybody wants to know about this guy running for prime minister he played a big role in the Israel military and personally took part and led several very nasty missions in which many women and children found themselves on the wrong end of a gun barrel. He is an animal, and fear is leading much of Israel to back him because Barak has not yet found a solution.

I really think that Sharon will do a very poor job. Looking at his history I find it hard to see how he can possibly do better at the peace process than Barak (who isn't great himself).

Unfortunately, that won't be lasting peace, and will end up involving the Arabic countries.

Peace through war is the last thing the world needs.

Does anyone believe the rest of the Arab world would sit idly by and allow Israel to destroy Palestine? NOT

So why should we side with the Israelies? They're provoking this themselves.

As soon as we take Israel's side, our airliners are going to drop like tech stocks. ;)

Neither side wants to compromise even though that's what's needed.

I just called George Bush and asked him what we were gonna do about this situation. He told me that there will be no conflict if they are both dead... Just play each side against each other until they are gone, then seize their land! Really though... I think the Bible tells us what will happen eventually. Anyone who doubts that has no concept of how much of a miracle it is for Israel to exist to begin with.

Israel and *People of Israel* (in the Biblical sense) are two VERY different things. If someone is a sadistic murderer and just happens to live in Israel, God is NOT on his side.

If you're a Christian (more than just in name) then you're a person of Israel.
Well.... I think we can probably expect Jesus' return within our lifetimes... the world itself is almost damaged beyond repair. Once the earth has passed a certain point of damage, it will simply deteriorate faster and faster... Mankind is too selfish and evil to do anything about it, so the world is pretty much doomed.

Yep... we're gonna' see big things in the next 50 years or so.... big, BAD things.

So, MrPALCO did the brainwashing hurt? And is it much better not having to think for yourself.

I am quite tolerant of other people's religious beliefs. But the gibberish you spout is rediculous.

Good lord, did anyone pay attention to the peace talks? Barak was bending over backwards to come to an agreement. It was MR PLO himself who refused to compromise.

Not that it matters, there will never be peace in the Middle East thanks to a foolish mistake thousands of years ago.

The mistake was less than a 100 years ago and it's called zionism. If the jews hadn't decided they were going to try to take back the land they had 2000 years ago none of this would even be happening. The mistake was aggrivated by the British when they allowed the immigration in full force shortly after WWII. Had the British imperialism not extended into palestine the Jews would never have been allowed to immigrate in.

But I suppose it's just as well, the Jew's need a nation to back them to prevent another Holocaust. I do think America should stop subsidizing them though, should end that 2.1billion in aid we send them every year.

MRPALCO,

That is one more reason I can't believe in religon. I thought God was all loving and compassionate. Well, according to the New Testament.

I guess you haven't read that one.

It's idiots like you that keep pouring full on the fire of hate.

It's a big friggen desert, why do you HAVE to be there. If you're people cooperated and shared the land you could get a lot more accomplished.

I don't know if the seven deadly sins apply to your belief, but I thought WRATH, GREED, and VANITY were a few of them.

START BELIEVING WHAT YOU PREACH!

I dislike religion also, sects like the Darwinists, have wreaked havoc on many innocent school children with their poisonous theories, promoted on the public nickle.

God is loving, and like a mother lion protecting her beloved cubs, God will rise and wipe out any Nation that threatens the Peace of Israel.

I thank the Most High God for his protection against a World that is opposed to Israel.

Sammyson,

The U.S. and Israel vs. the Middle East and their allies (no longer Russia) wouldn't be much of a war.

having just returned from israel, i can tell you that barak is not the answer for any lasting peace in the middle east. sharon may not be the answer either, but in the meantime, he will provide some fear in the palestinians at the sake of their own lives, which seems to be the only bargaining tool that they understand. i welcome sharon to power and do not doubt that he will be elected, as most everyone in israel that we spoke to is tired of barak simply folding on every issue and most are very upset that anyone would ever offer part of jerusalem as a bargaining tool, as am i, esp after having been there. it is the equivalent of the president offering part of washington dc or the pope offering part of the vatican to italy, for the sake of italians who live around it. i don't feel that anyone who has never visited israel can correctly give an assesment of the situation, it is so much different seeing it from the eyes of someone in the middle of the situation, much the same way one wouldn't accept the opinion of any foreign citizen offering advice on our presidential elections. barak is not the person who can bring peace to the region, and after i heard him speak while there, i was reassured of it. he spoke to a group of 5000 college students and ended his speech pledging that he would never, ever yield any part of jerusalem to anyone, a complete reversal of his statements in every speech previously. i know my reply has been a little rambling, but i feel strongly on this topic, especially since i have just been there and seen just how it is.

Oh this is gonna bother me now, unless I say it.

OPEN UP YOUR F#CKIN' EYES.

This is just another contradiction about God.

<< God is loving, and like a mother lion protecting her beloved cubs, God will rise and wipe out any Nation that threatens the Peace of Israel. >>

If God was loving, then why did It create people with the ability to have other beliefs, thus creating a tension that would and did lead to fighting and killing. Unless it was to inflate or keep Its ego inflated.

Pride. A deadly sin.

Once more I will reiterate that religon is nothing more than mind control of the masses. It served a function in the past with sparsly populated areas to bring people together for a common good. Now It is not needed.

This is all my opinion. And untill I see the Almighty and It tells me an acceptable answer to why there are so many horrible things happening in the world, I won't believe in It.

yea thats what i want to know.
How can someone bomb a school bus and say it is in the name of god?
What god would want you to kill yourself and 30 children too?
The fanatics are completely whacked in the head. I see nothing god like about what they do.

We are free to choose God or to align with Gods enemy, the ball is in our court. Would you prefer that God force you to join his team?
It is your choice to remain an "independent thinker" which is a new buzz word for a fence sitter. There are only two teams, God or evil.

An adult is well able to deal with an outlaw, with ease.

Soon the Outlaw and those that reject God will be chained and will no longer be able to wreak havoc among the children and the innocent.
