wow, metal gear 2 and duke nukem forever possibly cancelled! update: c&c 2 red alert pulled from retailers!

well maybe not cancelled, but both are perhaps facing huge delays from what happened tuesday. in mgs2 solid snake was supposedly going to destroy lots of stuff in new york, same goes for dnf. both featured the city with destructible environments or just general havok. take2 (g.o.d.) is re-evaluating what parts of the game in dnf must be changed. konami hasnt made a decision yet with what they will do, since a large majority of the game could be in jeopardy. in the game the statue of liberty is destoryed and terrorists are in new york.

not trying to be insensitive, just getting the news out. i dont have direct links to a story but check the ps2 boads at ign.com and there are tons and tons of messages about this

edit: command & conquer 2 has been pulled from retailers as the box art has the twin towers exploding

msft has pulled the towers from ms flight sim 2k1. they have also modified the introduction which shows a plane crashing into a skyscraper.

I didn't think they were referring to DNF, but another DN game. DNF is set in Las Vegas.

It's kinda too bad that movies and games are rushing to yank the WTC, cuz it's as if the terrorists have more than accomplished their goals, with the bonus of not only eliminating the WTC, but to even erase the WTC from our movies, like it never existed.
