Metal detectors, yes. Kicking those with lower then 2.0, probably. Why not though? They are pretty much failing, right?

To be an exchange student, you have to be proficient in English and have a high GPA.

Indeed it is, however, you cannot earn a high school diploma if you have "below average" or "C" level grades.

my HS has 81 cameras that they tell us about, plus motion detectors and all hallway lights are motion activated

Its not like my school is a "bad" school.Were ranked near the top in academics and sports in CA and probably top 100 somewhere in nation...people are going to riot at my school..i'm guessing the detectors can also detect ipods,cell phones,and stuff we shouldnt really have on campus either...mainly there telling us that the detectors are to detect weapons.

If the cellphones, ipods and stuff you shouldn't have are large pieces of metal, then yes. That's their job. That's why you have to empty your pockets of those items when going through an airport check.
