WOW! McDonald's Snack Size Fruit & Yogurt Parfait == yum!

I had to be at work at 0530 this morning and all I had before work was a bowl of cereal, so I decided to go to Mickey D's when I got hungry (about 10:00 a.m.).

I looked at the menu, and nothing appealed to me, so I decided to get the Fruit and Yogurt Parfait - and I am VERY impressed!

First of all, I'm pretty sure they're shipped to McDonald's from a factory, so the food never touches the grubby hands of McDonald's employees. And, since I rolled through the McDonald's drive through in a U of M Public Safety (i.e. police) vehicle, it's probably better that the employees didn't get to prepare my food. Also, it's REALLY good! Vanilla yogurt, REAL fruit (strawberries and blueberries) and granola to go with it too.

I was very impressed with this McDonald's product. Today was the first time I'd been to a Mickey D's in 8 months, but I will definitely be going back often from now on. For $1.00, this dish can't be beat.

The nutrition facts are pretty good too: 120 calories, 20 calories from fat, and only 2 grams of fat.

its pretty small. i prefer the reg size one, but i'm a pig yea very few people order it apparently?

The bigger one was 2 something I think. I loved that shiet since it first came out. Everyone I've introduced it to love it too. Ever since they came out with the snack sized one though, its harder to find places with the old regular size. Its like another 40% in height and another 25% in width but satisfies you so much more.

 

My McDonald's had the bigger size as well. They originally took my order as a regular size, but I corrected them, since I only had $2 in my wallet.

The fruit is always frozen though. When it thaws, the yogurt becomes very watery.

The fruit in mine was perfect - and I ate it only about 5 minutes after I got it.

The Parfait tastes the best about 1hr after they are prepared.
This is when the strawberries and blueberries thawed out just about right.

The larger size is $2.69 where I'm at but 2 of the small ones are about the size of the larger one and its cheaper.

The parfaits are not premade.
The yogurt, strawberry, and blueberry comes seperate and they have to prepare them.

yeah, well I had one for breakfast and it was the worst thing ever... the strawberries and what not were frozen solid and all the fruit was pretty much...

it sucked :|

Actualy we make those by hand. And basicaly it's just frozen strawberries and 3 blueberries.......

i love the F&YP ... every time i want a snack.. i get that instead...

when people i know go get Ice Cream, i run next door to MickeyD's for a F&YP.

it is very good indeed. i just wish i didnt have to wait on their slow lines just to order that quick snack. you're right, the nutrition info seems okay. what's the sugar grams on that though, i find it could be less sweet.

I got one a few months ago and loved it, the fruit was great.

I've gotten three since then and the damn fruit's always been frozen :|

I've asked if I could get a F&YP without the Y and just full of fruit with a lot of granola on top and they said no

There alot of things I will do to satisfy a customer, but if I had to go through to hassle for a $1 product, I would say no too.
Beside, the F&P costs about $.42 and we sell it for $1 so that makes it the higest food cost product we sell.
BY filling it with just fruits, that cost increases.

NO we do have side salad for $1. He was refering to the ceasar dressing for his side salad.
