Wow - Macklemore's album, The Heist, is excellent!

Macklemore actually has meaningful songs that about his journey to becoming an artist in a world full of dishonest record labels and even the perception society has with art being a waste of time. He also raps about how our current education system is misleading, consumerism, support of same-sex marriages and even overcoming his personal addiction to codeine.

Breath of fresh air in hip-hop. None of the nonsense subject matter that plagues radios and ears of listeners i.e. degrading women, bragging about money or cars, etc.
