Just realized this. Her American English is flawless and I never would've guessed otherwise. I heard her talking on the special features of the Jacket and at first I thought she was mocking the director or something..

What other British actors who play American people as she does?

...and in other news, the sky is blue...

Claire Forlani is pretty well known for this. She speaks with an American accent in Mallrats, The Rock, Meet Joe Black, Mystery Men, Boys and Girls, and probably Antitrust.

I've only seen Bend It Like Beckham, Pirates of the Carribean, and Love Actually, where Keira's characters are British.

Natalie Portman is short in addition to being less attractive.

You say that like its bad. Short girls are MUCH better than tall girls.

Kate Winslet is another British actress with a really convincing American accent (I'm thinking Eternal Sunshine...). She's also pretty, though not as "hot" as Keira I'll grant you.

Miranda Richardson in Nip/Tuck is English.

And Minnie Driver, imo.

I find it strange that in the movie The Hole she was topless also like in The Jacket but in The Hole she was not even 18 y/o yet they still show that movie on Showtime and HBO all the time. 😕

Very hot though indeed

She's hot now. In bend it like beckham she was really a bone pile. She's put a little bit of fat on since then and she looks a lot better now.

Only if you're short yourself.

Tall guy + tall girl = 🙂

In general, Brits are better at American accents than Americans are at English accents because they constantly get our crappy TV shows and movies over there, while we see less of their stuff here. They've practically grown up hearing Americans everywhere, so they manage to pull it off really well.
