What I have to wonder if if you were going to rip someone off why bother sending them anything at all? Much less a "speaker and a blanket."

Sounds more like packages got swapped somewhere along the line.

I had some subwoofers shipped to me & the UPS Store the sender used managed to swap labels with another package (going to some random person). Instead of my 15" subwoofer drivers I got a box of random housewares (kitchen towels, a spatula, etc.).

A speaker wrapped in an old blanket sounds like someone was shipping a speaker & used a blanket as packaging.

Possibly, but you still gotta wonder. Trolls have been up to some strange things lately in all I have been reading here and there. Like sending junk or empty boxes so that they can say... "I shipped it, here is the tracking number."

I wouldn't completely rule it out, but I wouldn't be up in arms over it until the seller has a chance to respond.
