Just had someone lend me Torque on DVD, and i'm speechless. I thought Charlies Angels 2 was a waste of film, but this one just takes the cake.

The funny thing about this movie is that it was so bad, that I had to keep watching. I thought it would get better at the end, but when i saw this guy jump onto a bike without sunshades, and then the camera pans up and he had shades on, I just couldn't fathom what director would think that is cool.

This movie has left me totally speechless.


Whatever you do, stay away from the crap.
 
yeah watched it... and the worst part it was on the big screen (while movie hopping, i'd never pay for a movie like that 😉 )
i thought they were joking at first. but no, its a serious movie. and by far the worst i've seen.
 
heh i think the name "Torque" for a sportbike movie was a dead giveaway

thought it would be entertaining at least. never thought a movie could get this bad, like the director had no audience he was trying to target.
 
Well, I'm all for "creative" movies but as everyone else has pointed out, this one was nothing special. They didn't do anything in the movie as far as effects that hadn't already been done in some other movies like F&F. I don't mind when the movie is entertaining but when it reaches a certain point of TOTAL unrealism....it ceases to even be entertaining. Let me see...riding crotch rockets on top of trains, through passenger cars, on the tracks in front of the train while OUTRUNNING the train, punching people on a bike multiple times and they don't wreck or fall off, the whole 2 chick duel on the bikes.......these were things that just went WAY WAY beyond anything that could be conceived as entertaining. I definitely wish I could get my 90 minutes back after watching this.*Two thumbs WAY down*

i'd give it 4 thumbs down if i had them.

the last chase sequence looked as if they ran out of money, and they just threw it together. the effects were so cheesy it made me i'll.

i like the part in top gun where viper is wearing silver rimmed sunglasses, and when they switch cameras he is wearing gold rimmed sunglasses

Sorry man! I didn't mean to ruin it for you. I didn't mention everything......just what I thought were the WORST parts. If you're gonna watch it, see if you can get someone else to rent it so you'll save your money. 😀

While many parts of the movie are a bit hard to believe, it's still a great movie for giving the old subwoofers a workout. When I watched it, I reduced the volume on my receiver by about 10 dB and still felt like I was going to majorly disrupt my neighbor.

The guy that directs Britney Spears music videos directed it. Guy's a complete weirdo. Has like a crappy tv, a single chair in his tv room, a matress in his bedroom and like nothing else. Complete, total, weirdo.

It's bad. Period. That's why when Torque came out... you have to wonder why these people never learn. I'm sorry but they were talking sportbikes drag racing on dirt in some farm somewhere. Wow.
