bozack do u own like a watch store or somthin??

No I wish, both of my parents had Rolex watches, father a Submariner, mother a Oyster in Two tone...when I graduated college my brothers purchase of a nice movado and my parents ownership of nice watches prompted me to look into getting something, I have always been the type to thoroughly research things before I buy thus my interest in high end watches was sparked, I have bought and sold a few high end watches but am not in the business...I have been reading and contributing to many if not all of the internet watch groups for the past three+ years and a good friend of mine when I worked at NASA was also a vintage watch collector...does seem awkward at only 27 and most of the people with whom I converse with on such subjects are in their upper fortys and 50s but then agian I have always assocaited better with the hobbies and interests of those at least twice my age. I am also interested in cufflink collecting and fountain pens, two other obscure hobbies that most today wouldn't give a rats behind about.

are the rolexes in overstock.com a good deal??

Actually though you have to remember that the piece in question is a used piece so actually one year is pretty good, personally I only give a few days at best when I sell mine and most give only a month or two....if this was bought new it would only include a two year warranty but again if something is going to go wrong nine times out of ten it will happen in the first year.

Not really, their discount is ok, but IMHO the piece of mind is not worth the savings, I have found the best way to get one at a good deal and feel totally secure in your purchase is to 1. find an out of state dealer (Authorised) who is willing to ship it to you, unless you don't have state tax and 2. see if they will take a cash discount, many places will give up to 10% off if you wave cash in their face maybe more for Rolex but generally Rolex is not discounted for the Stainless sport models, 10-15% for the two tone models, and 15-20% for the all gold/precious metal models.....

I bought mine locally with 5% off which saved the sales tax and a little more so I was happy at the time, now I wouldn't be happy with anything less than 10% off Stainless and that is minimum especially given the current econ climate. I also tend to only be drawn to the Stainless models as I don't think the premium for the gold is worth it (SS Model for 3K would sell for almost 5K in two tone with less than a few ozs of gold added to the bracelet, bezel and crown, all Rolex watches have gold hands and markers, either white, black or yellow depending on the case color/dial color).
