Did you just get the tracking information? You can get the tracking information when the postage is paid for your package. This can happen online, without your item even being boxed up yet.

Nope, no tracking information. I checked my email and it said my item has been marked as shipped.

i can mark it as shipped and not even ship anything...

they probably boxed it and paid for postage online. pretty common to get a shipping notification even though the item hasn't shipped. happens to me all the time with online retailers.

As a seller on ebay, you can just click the "mark as shipped" icon even if you don't ship it right away. The seller controls that "mark as shipped" icon, not ebay.

Also, if you have a UPS label machine, you can generate a shipping label and tracking number. There won't be any info on it at UPS.com though, because it hasn't been scanned at pickup yet.

The seller packs the item up and prints a label, and marks it as shipped. It will then sit there in the shipping pile until the next day. Then, on the following day, when they have to ship items any new sold items are listed as "awaiting shipment", but your item is not. Its for the organization of the seller, but ebay notifies you when the item is marked as shipped.

Media mail is shipped like normal postal mail. They'll put it in your mailbox if it fits, otherwise they'll leave it at your front door.

Make sure you get the exact same print of the text OP, otherwise it's be a nightmare.
