WOW... just installed windows 2-3days ago

In the last 5 years, i've gotten 2 virus. One was in a zip file i downloaded, and another was an email virus. Both were detected by Norton so i never got infected.

how does installing an OS and getting viruses correlate?

if you didn't install an anti-virus program on an MS OS, then why wouldn't you expect to get viruses?

do you connect to the internet directly or go through a firewall?
