I've never been able to track down the version of "Hair" that was on a double LP "Solid Gold" hits collection that I listened to as a kid.

Oh wow, I got a weird flashback from this song. I was lying on my bed looking out my window watching the rain come pouring down, the streets flooding as the storm drains filled with debris, and Ben Folds Five's "Brick" on the radio. I was caterwauling along, despite never having heard the song before, and as it ended, it transitioned into this song. Again, a song I had never heard, but I found myself singing along to the chorus by the end of the song, as I watched the world flood. Sadly the water never reached the level of the '96 flood, but it was still pretty fantastic watching an entire intersection become a lake.

Thanks for that.

-EDIT- I just watched Leek Spin, and I've found myself going "dee bee dee bee dee bee dee bee dee bee do." I wonder if the world is flooding....

This is one of those songs that I would fall asleep to while watching MTV back in high school. I completely forgot about it.

You want to know the crazy part? The world WAS flooding while that song was going on. It hailed so much that the ground is still covered in ice several hours later. This leads me to my latest in a long line of crackpot theories: catchy songs are harbingers of the apocalypse.

I am a bit too young to remember that one; vocals remind me of Gorillaz though.

Are you in Vancouver? It did the exact same thing here; it was insane!
