Wow, it's like the first episode of Star Trek: TNG

I remember watching it premier and for the first time, the Enterprise had a nice "hum" in the background 🙂

I remember watching the premier also. I actually didn't like it at the time.

The first season isn't really good, per se, but you gotta start somewhere.

Anyone else think $120 per season is outrageous? I don't care how many extras it has, that's $840 just for DVD's.

$120?

The most a paid for a season was like $100 and most were cheaper than that.

Say you did buy all 7 Seasons for $700, that's 178 40-45 minute episodes or about 118 hours of content not including extras.

That breaks down to $5.90 per hour. When you buy a 2 hour DVD you pay $20 so thats $10 per hour.

$100 per season isn't as bad as it could be.

Yeah, a lot of the season 4, 5, and 6 stuff I have isn't as nice as it could be.

I noticed quite a bit of 350MB on some of those, that's what size all my DS9s are.

I have every episode of TNG encoded @ 225 mb per episode.

Thank you Netflix.

Yeah, so are my DS9s, and my season 1, 2, 3, and 7 of TNG. I just haven't gotten nice copies of 4, 5, and 6 yet.

I'd pay maybe $100 for the whole series, but not $840. That's almost a whole month's pay.
