Wow, I think I screwed Fry's.

..getting more money back from rebates then you spent ?

I just got back from Fry's. Picked up Learning Perl (O'Reilly) and PSP 8 . After rebate I make ~ $10.

Math :

PSP -$79
MIR +$40 (Fry's customers rebate)
MIR + $30(In the box)
MIR + $20(In the box for people with new digital cameras)

Learning Perl - $20
MIR +$20


So I make about $10. Normally I would feel bad about this, but Fry's tried to screw me on the book rebate. :|

you need to look at some the Hot Deal threads where you can make $100 - $150 when you get a new cell phone...on some deals there are over $150 rebates on a $50 phone...YMMV of course on some of those deals...

Yeah, I got my parents to do that when they got a new phone.

I made over $200 on my Sony Ericsson cell phone, then I sold it on eBay for $260 Here is the math:

+ $200 rebates
+ $260 ebay
- $10 shipping
= $450

Of course the rebate was with activation but I just called and extended my service and they were all cool about it

wait a minute, something is not right. how much do you pay for it?

Edit: never mind, i think i figured it out. $200 is your net, not your rebate. that's one heck of a deal though if after rebate you get $200 more than what you paid for it.
