I got a Seagate 80GB SATA drive that Iv had for about a year or so now. Today I took it out so I could install Seagate 160GB next to it.

That when I see it.....A big black resistor? or whatever it is burnt. The connection on one side has burned all the way off and the other side is just barely hanging on.

Has anyone exp anything like this? Anyone have a clue as to what caused it?
 
Not at the moment. At the moment its running windows XP without error. I have no idea how long its even been like this. As soon as I get my Raptor to replace it I'll pull it out and take a pic...

I just ordered the raptor today but they say same day shipping if the order is placed before 4PM, I placed it at 3 so we will see....

EDIT:
Well I think I know what was causing my computer to radomly reboot when running at 11x273Mhz. I hope thats what it is, things sure do fly with my FX-55 @ 3Ghz
