Wow I just turned a Duron 600 into a functional Duron 950, in just 5 minutes

Yes, all it took was a 2B pencil to join up the L1 bridges, then a bit of clicking in the Abit softmenu, where I also increased the voltage to 1.75V.

Talk about an easy 60% overclock, plus it had no trouble running 3DMark2000, using a hard drive setup for another motherboard (AK33).

The people I'm making this for are going to be real happy. Now I have to pull my finger out & do a fresh install.

its a Coolermaster, with a 15mm thick fan. Bloody noisy too, Well I spose I'm just use to my own system where I replaced all the fans with QUIET 12V Panaflow L1A1 fans running at a silent 7v (including the powersupply, where I replaced the 80mm OEM fan at the back with an 80mm 12V@7V L1A1 at the back & a 92mm 12V@7V L1A1 underneath)

But I'll be making another Duron system for myself on thurSday, then I'll be using my HP 'Panaflow Orb' Artic circle cooler that I've adapted with a 10mm thick copper plate (With thermal grease on both sides, it screws onto the bottom of the artic circle using those 4 threaded holes the arCtic circle has underneath, plus I machined out a slot down the middle, where a normal socket clamp resides so the other side of the copper plate clamps on the socket in the normal fashion)

Currently Its residing on a AMD K6-III 400@500mhz CPU. So I think I'll have to straighten the socket clamp & re-bend it off centre, so that bend resides directly above the core. So its stays on flat.

Knowing my luck though, Wen I go to assemble my own Duron CPU system, i'll get a CPU that will refuse to Post once the multiplyer is knocked up (even with the voltage knocked up with it).
