At our local Civil War park, Kennesaw Mountain, they have erected a field of flags, with 3300 flags arranged in the field out in front of the park. I took my 16 month old daughter to see it and I was very moved by the site. I was more than a bit teary eyed walking among the flags. I was able to get my little one to sit still under a flag and get some pics of her(which I cant post because of my fantastic dialup speed) so she will have some memory of it. If you live anywhere near the battlefield, by all means go there. It is so moving coming up Old 41 around the curve and seeing the flags set up on about 50 acres. They you get to walking among them and you cant help but shed a tear. Link
