By my caculations this should add 5.23 years to my life! By just entering the address part in the address bar in IE and pushing Ctrl + Enter to add the www. and the .com so much typing time is saved!

I use it all the time, great shortcut 😀 I just wish there were alternate ones for .net and .org, etc...

yay!
i keep seeing it being done, but it never works with my IE6, it goes straight to the search page. i must've disabled it somehow somewhere

Yeah. My friend showed me that a year ago and now I cant imagine what I did without it. My other favorite is Shift + click to open a new window.

Shift + Click is great too... it's the little things that make life enjoyable.

We have some PCs at work that have the Ctrl-Enter thing disabled or something because it doesn't work. Anyone know how to turn it back on?

yep, and with crazy browser you get:

shift+enter for .net

ctrl+shift+enter for .org

alt+enter searches google for whatever you typed

You need to get yourself a copy of Firebird. Ctrl+enter is .com, ctrl+shift+enter is .org and shift+enter is .net. Not sure if there are any others. alt+enter also opens what you typed in the address bar in a new tab. And middle mouse clock opens a page in a background tab. It's the best thing ever.

One shortcut I recently learned that may come in handy sometimes is task manager: Ctrl+Shift+Esc.

I dunno...i never type in www and the extra second it takes me to press ctrl enter would take longer than the time it takes me to type .com

I type 98wpm and that's still not true for me. Ctrl-enter is a great timesaver.

One thing I wish is that there's another shortcut that produces www. + .com without submitting so I can continue to type longer URLs.

for mozilla, it will automatically add www or .com 😀

ctrl + click to close tabs in opera is great too!(work for mirc as well, maybe only for my invision script?)

alt+tab to switch applications is YAGT(yet another grea thing)😀

You still have to press <enter> regardless when you are dong typing. You saying it takes longer to just press Ctrl then to type .com? You must really suck at typing. 😉
