Wow, I got pulled over for the first time

Wow, I was kind of speeding down a empty road and when getting into town I was pulled over by a unmarked squad. I guess I was driving right next to him for about 4 miles doing about 80 miles an hour and right before the town is where I guess he marked me at 85mph. Well when entering the town I slowed down to the speed limit as a lot of people are on the roads so I quickly drop down to 40mph.

Well I get a block and he pulls me over. They search my car and I explain to them that I was just trying to get home after a long day.


End of the story is they let me off and tell me to just slow down.



God I love county cops as they are much more lenient than town cops. I did learn though that I need to keep it a tad slower.

Well they asked if I had anything illegal in which I said no and they asked if they may search my car. I knew I was speeding a whole lot over 55, so my best bet was to cooperate with them and hope for the best.

I was speeding because I wanted to catch up to the purple Impala that passed me. Of course that was a mistake when that is a Impala SS used by the police.

I don't really see any probably cause for searching your car... but you're right, it was probably easier to just go with it, since you had nothing to hide anyhow.

I have a clean record so far, never pulled over, but I am just going with it, hoping that it's my good karma. If I do get pulled over for speeding, which I frequently do, I hope they let me off

I was speeding because I wanted to catch up to the purple Impala that passed me. Of course that was a mistake when that is a Impala SS used by the police.

I just love how a cop doing NOTHING is allowed to speed but when you speed up a little faster than him, he pulls you over. It must be nice to not have to obey the law when you are the law.

If you caught up to him and stayed with him for awhile he could have just been pacing you. Would explain letting you off on the ticket (pacing is a harder speeding ticket to prove, but not by much)

Yea, a radar detector doesn't protect against a speedometer :^D

I imagine it's used for the more egregious cases. 10mph, was it really 8? When it's 85 in a 50, the cop can be off a bit, and still have you significantly busted.
