I called the place, a bar, and they said to come in to fill out an app. I filled it out around 3:30pm. Got home at 4 and got a call at 530 asking to come back.
I went back at 830 and met the head of security and we talked. The gov't experience with Customs was a big help, along with the 4 years of being a store dectective at Sears, and being state certified as a security guard.
The place is nice. I'll be a "bouncer". Its very event driven, they book local talent, cover bands, and tribute bands. Cant wait for the 80's rock bands to come. Van Halen woohoo!!!! OH YEA, the female bartenders are RIDICULOUS.
I start working not this saturday, but the next. Its on the books at 12/hour, i asked to be on the books b/c it wont look good for future background checks for any law enforcement jobs i go for if i wasnt on the books.
Its nice to see that jobs are still available in this economy, even if its not the best job in the world. It was hard to find a job to last me the next few months while in school.
