How much more cash do you have to lay out to let Alienware save you those "3" steps vs. building your own? $1,000? More??

Hahahaha, just go through it and look at the pictures, you don't even have to read it. It basically shows that "If you want to make your case look cool, but not function any better, LET US BUILD IT!" Blegh, I thought highly of Alienware for some reason...This is...Well, this is just lame. Now Dell and Alienware are on the lame computer companies list.

not only that, but if you look on their site, they're taken a dell 20.1" LCD and put an alienware logo on it . ..

OMG. Even with Alienware, you'd be a smart buyer by doing research on the hardware you want in your system. And you're still going to have a lot of component selection Alienware. :p

Has Best Buy stopped selling Alienware systems? It seems like I don't see the Alienware display in their store anymore.

lol... look at this choice gem:

Building your own system means you will have to rely on public forums for answers to questions or problems you may have. Participants from other forums are not likely to have your interests at heart, and may not be as knowledgeable. Can you trust them?

AHAHAHA they just insulted 90% of the geeks in the world. Hopefully they lose sales from this.

Real geeks don't buy from alienware anyway, I think this advertisement might just work against the majority.

like i said above, that is EXACTLY like the dell

plus the dell is cheaper

and wtf is this? "List price : $1199"

Oh puhleeze

ooooo i like that quad monitor stand.

seriously tho, i don't see what is so bad about this. most people don't know the first thing about building computers, and most people don't have the spare time or motivation to learn about it. basically alienware is saying you pay more than dell but you get more, and i think you do. i bought an alienware laptop when i had the money and the opportunity, and i'm glad that i did. it was way better than anything i could get through dell or any other site.

They are a business. The only goal is making money, if this helps, then smart move on Alienwares part.
