The fact sheet says "requires users to buy"... which is not true.

"Required to buy" is to make the systems comparable...

Reading comprehension FTW...

The 360 core system didn't have component cables either which are $40.

That fact sheet looks more like an ad for the Wii than it does for the ps3

I heard a rumor (on this forum, iirc) that the wii will also include a port of all the n64 games, either in the box or via download. Is that true?

If so, that would give nintendo a huge selling advantage -- as parents are trying to put something fun under the tree that can be used the same day.

There will be pretty much content from all old systems, but you'll have to pay for it.

Wii can play gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, Genesis, and Turbografix games via download, but you have to pay to download.

Yet another example of why Sony chose the Core system for this comparison when it would make more sense to use the premium bundle. The premium bundle comes with component cables, along with the hard drive ($100) and the wireless controller ($50). ZOMG $190 value for $100, somebody post this in hot deals!

The only way Sony could make their comparison work in their favor is by making it blatantly misleading. This comparison seems like desperation to me.

Sony sure does one thing right, which is to find new and exciting ways to become a target of ridicule.
