So I roll up to my garage and see 100,052. At 25 MPG I've gone through 4000 gallons at probably an average of $1.85. That's ~$7500, a pretty hefty number, that I'm sure many here will surpass by light years 🙂
 
eitherway Consider yourself lucky, in the Uk I have travelled 150,000 in 10 years and our petrol is (currently) £3.5 or $6.20 so the total at current rate is (assuming 30mpg) is £17500 or $32500!!! thats just unbeleivable.
 
Frightening amounts. $60k for the Vandura (Though gas mileage changes depending on the brand of fuel pump, and we go through a LOT of those, since none of them seem to be built to move ghetto regular, despite the engine handling it fine)
 
i spend about $500.00 / month on my two cars, neither get's great gas mileage and combined 2 cars we put about 50k miles per year on our 2 cars.

Yes back when you actually got to deduct it off your Federal income tax I did and it was a scary number. :disgust:
 
I use one charge card just for gas(5% cashback), so it's a no brainer for me.

I use about $100/month and the wife about $400/ month.

I've thought about rethinking out car arrangement, so the wife doesn't drive a gas guzzler the bulk of the time('03 Trailbazer).
 
Between two Civics and two Sentras, I never really spent all that much at any given time. The current SE-R uses the most gas of all four cars and I still only have to fill up maybe once a week. More often if I've been driving the "fun" way. So, about $80/month spent in gas now, and the Civics probably didn't cost much more than $60/month, especially since gas prices were lower two-three years ago then they are now (At least in Phoenix.)
 
i spend about 150-200 canadian a month in the winter... way less in the summer. (i drive to school in another city in the fall/winter)

Average $1.85??? Where the heck do you live??? Back 2 or 3 years ago it was only like $1.30 max!

As much as I hate my pos Geo, I only spend ~$44 every month to keep it filled. It only cost me about $11 to fill it up, and that will last me a week. I even have a 60 mile round trip to work. 😛
