WoW graphic distortions

It seems that ever since the last two patches, I am getting graphic distortions with WoW. These consist of linear pixelations vertically, loss of the ground when moving camera and multicolored pixelations on surfaces.

I have an old inspiron 8200 with a nvidia 440 go, which doesnot support the latest direct x. I have tried updating the driver and bios but I'm not sure that I have the best one as no one seems to support this old card anymore.

Saving up for a new portable but that seems long off.

And yes I probably should take this as a sign to give up WoW.
