You people don't know who Escher is? :Q

Look him up, he is a brilliant artist. His pictures were very mathmatical but they bended logic and such at the same time. Physically it looks real but logically you know that such a thing cannot exist, if that makes any sense.

He is also famous for the many tessalations that he made. Click on the link at look at some stuff, they really are amazing.
 
I had to draw something similar to this except there were 3 reflective balls and they were sitting on top of some sheets with stripes. You got to give the man some credit, he had to be really, really good to do that. It was confusing as hell trying to get the perspective and reflections right.

Also, this is one of my favorites.
 
It's amazing to think that he could draw stuff like this, #2 (look like a certain screen saver?), and the good ol' Double Planetoid without the help of comuters. I can't imagine how much patience it took, as well as trying not to go crazy reasoning these things out.
