Had to start another post, just bought this card today. I had a Geforce 2 GTS, Creative OEM with 6ns, clocked to 215/380. I was getting 3400+ in 3D Mark 2001, default.
Popped this card in, clocked right to 200/460 (Geforce 3 speeds?), ran multiple 3D Mark, no artifacts or lockups. I wonder how much higher it'll go? 3D Mark is 5974 as is.
As I just got it, I think I'll wait to oc more. Stock heatsinks were applied correctly, didn't bother with AS. I also have a 2-80mm fan CardCooler helping.
Curious, with the GF2 3D Mark defaulted to D3D Hardware T&L, the ti-200 defaulted to D3D Pure Hardware T&L. I assume this is normal for GF3?
Also ran 3D Mark with 2x AA, scored 4700+. Should I use 2X, or Quincunx AA with this card, I usually game at 1280/960/1024, 85 Hz, max for my monitor. Although my GF2 would play some games at 1600, max refresh is 72 for this pos monitor.
Also, 2D looks great, or as good as the GF2 I had, ans I saw more details in 3D Mark than before.
I was going to hold out 6 months, but got a great deal, and I'm glad I got it.
Also, about Anisotropic settings, I assume this card will run at least 16 tap? What settings to add to the registry without a 3rd party tweaker? Or your opinion on the best one?
