I just built a new system, got all the driver and bios' updated. Loaded up WoW, and at the character creation screen every 40 - 60 sec, the display freezes and is unresponsive for about 10sec. I can still move the mouse around though. Anyone have any ideas? Here is my system configuration (just built her yesterday!):

Lian-Li PC-60 case
ASUS A8N SLI deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
Thermaltake Venus 12 CPU fan
Crucial PC-3200 DDR 512MB x2 (1GB total)
Segate 7200.8T 250MB SATA HD
EVGA 6800GT 265MB
SUN Microsystems 24.1" LCD Monitor (1920x1200 res)
NEC DVD+/-RW 16x
3.5" Sony Floppy drive
CoolMax 400W Silent Switching Pwr Supply
And last but not least.... my cool New Egg sticker!!!!

its gotta be the sticker, move it to the left alittle and see how that works.

(joking aside, i dont see why its not working. maybe its your mem.. i have far less a system then that , and WoW runs fine....)

how does it connect to the web? i seem to think it may be your connection...

but this is all speculation.

This monitor that I have supports 1920x1600 which is what I have my system setup to right now..... Should I drop the resolution when I load up WoW?

i dont really see how your monitor would cause it to do that.. but heck try that.
does it run other games? try getting doom3 on a demo and see if it runs that..
