WoW Free Trial

Yeah, I got hooked on what many would consider a boring MMOG, (A Tale in the Desert, you probably haven't heard of it 😛)

So I am going to steer clear of one that is getting rave reviews, but thanks anyways. 🙂

BTW: If you have subscribed to ATITD, you must be an uber geek, because last I checked their subscriber base was 1300 people, and it was definitely a niche game...

hmmm...maybe my computer is trying to help me out...mozilla crashed when i was halfway done....im going to see if i can pick up where it left off..if not i may be saved

Isn't this the full installation of the game and no different than retail? Once the trial period is up, you just pay them the monthly fee and keep playing.

bah, once you start playing the trial, after it's over your gonna be "forced" to pay the monthly fee........your gonna get hooked

umm, thats pretty much the definition of free trial, so yeah.

edit: but that's just like some coke dealers will give you a free trial, the only difference is MMORPGs are legal...

WoW is indeed fun, but like every other MMO, really demanding of your time.

I had to quit to keep up my standards at work and school, as well as spent time with my GF.

When you start looking at your chrono when you are out with your GF because you need to get home to join some raid to MC, you know you're in too deep 🙁

You still have to buy the retail game according to the message I get after the trial period is up.

Your World of Warcraft Trial ends in -17 day(s). If you wish to continue playing with this account after the trial period ends, simply purchase a retail copy of World of Warcraft and enter the Authentication Key in the boxes below.

I think he's refering to his 10 Day guess pass. 😛 It'll entitle you to 10 days of playing, not sure if it stacks with the 14 day trial though.

So basically, the trial key and the key we get from the game are different? 🙁

Yep, they want to make sure you still buy the game, can't blame them, they would be losing out on a lot of money.
