WoW freakin BS server hangs

Man, I hope Blizzard gets their act together. I'm tired of trying to pay the game I paid $50 for and can't get logged in or get an error that my character 'is already in use' on their servers.

This is garbage.

Majority of MMO releases are like this. Only very few are smooth. There are many MMO's that also don't meet their projected release date only because they want it to go smoothly and not have server hang ups like this ... unfortunatly Blizzard didn't do that and released right away thinking that their servers were able to handle the amount of people that would buy the game...

well I guess my point is this is blizzard and they beta'd the crap out of this and they should have known better by the number of preorders alone. There's no excuse for them not having enough server resources on their end, not when they are charging 50+ bucks a pop for the game.

I am NOT an insensitive prick. I just hate it when I go out and buy something and as a consumer cannot enjoy what I've bought. I had a full day of fun, talked a buddy into buying it so we could play together tonight (as I leave in the morning for two days) and tonight neither of us can get logged in. That's bullcrap.

Blizzard should have let their servers overload a bit when OB came about instead of closing it since they said they "reached their limit." OB should have told them how many people were actually going to play this game ... but unfortunatly they weren't prepared for it. I just hope they give people who activated their accounts an extra day or 2 of credit since well ... the first few days seem to be unplayable.

as and example of how bad it's gotten, I can't even login to their support forums with my WoW character ID and password without getting a 'server full error' message. I can't even log a complaint on their forums!!

And I guess that's my point. 28 servers down for another 1-2 hours, and probably have been down 1-2 hours at least before now. I know my server was for sure.

I can appreciate your anger at not being able to play right away, but it's not like you only have a week to finish the game before the shut everything down forever. Take a break and find something else to do for a while, and when you come back perhaps everything will be in order and you can smash Orcs or whatever to your hearts content.

Yep, it's just a game. A game I paid 50 bucks to play. And I can't play it right now, and I guess that's my point. I have a life otherwise, but when I pay my hard-earned money, I should be able to play the game I bought. They tested this game hard, and when I (and others) can't play, that's not right.

Yep, it's just a game. A game I paid 50 bucks to play. And I can't play it right now, and I guess that's my point. I have a life otherwise, but when I pay my hard-earned money, I should be able to play the game I bought. They tested this game hard, and when I (and others) can't play, that's not right.

Im amused at how badly they handled the release. They should have looked at how many copies that sold and have the servers ready for it. Another thing they should have done to reduce lag is instance some of the zones. EQ2 did this and even though there were thousands on the servers, the instances reduced the lag to next to nothing.

I really hope that this is not counting towards anyone's free month of play because you will probably lose half you month fighting with the login server and the throng of newbies fighting over the same quest mobs.

For a game that was in testing for so long and that was actually ready for release- they are experiencing one of the worst launches I've seen.

Blizz will extend the free trial period (check forums), they haven't stated for how long though

Whaa? They're playing a monthly fee to play on the servers and if you cannot login you're paying for somethign that you cant use.. thats bullocks.

we had to move to a new server beacsue Archimonde is down indefinatly...

btw there are servers running just fine... we are on a very smooth server with no que now..
