i ordered a PSU and a computer case on sunday and they both shipped out on monday. the 22lbs case shipped via fedex and the power supply shipped via UPS. the estimated delivery date of the case (fedex) was on the 12th and the psu (UPS) on the 17th. low and behold, the case arrived one day early!

even though they were shipped form different locations, the case from IL, psu from CA, and i live in MN, it's amazing how much better fedex is.

FEDEX FTW!

i haven't had to deal with fedex claims before, but i had to with ups one time. the device didn't work and the package had a puncture on the side so i filed a claim. ups said it was the shipper's responsibility to send me a reimbursement even though it was worth less than $100.

ups can suck my long erect dick

bought from same company? different companies? what type of shipping is with one compared to the other? the case sounds like it was 2 or 3 day shipping. psu sounds like longer. they shipped from different locations but yet you listed both as IL. different locations in IL or was that a typo?
leaving out some important facts here.

"woot! fedex got me my case here in 2 days! ups sucks because they are delivering my psu in 5 days! oh, i should mention that my case was shipped with 3 day shiping and the psu was shipped with 5-7 day shipping...."

For me, FedEx has always been cheaper too. Whenever I ship identical items I'll ship one at FedEx and the other by UPS. UPS is almost always $2 more, and it's never been cheaper.

Fedex Ground > UPS Ground

UPS ground takes at least 6 business days to make it across the country, such BS

I ship a lot of stuff through my work...

UPS Claims: 9
UPS Claims paid of those packages that were insured and professionally packaged: 3 (6 were denied, small claims fights ensued)

Fedex Claims: 0

the sad part is, my volume through fedex is about 8x as much.

My worst experience is with UPS next day air, We were shipping FLU Vaccine (perishable), and they delivered to the wrong house. Some little kid opened a package with needles. His mother wasn't happy. We did get reimbursed the full 150$ insurance claim though.
