Will the World of Warcraft expansion have all the patches up to date on it? I can think of no reason not to...there have been soo many patches that it would literally take a whole day just to get the game up and running if the expansion didn't come with all of the previous patches already installed.

It will come with ALOT of patches, hoever anything REALLY recent will not be on there. Basically since I think Mid-Dec or a little sooner.

I very much doubt it will have every patch. Since it was sent off to be duplicated I'm sure they've made at least some minor changes and bug fixes.

You on 56k or something? It took me like 20 minutes to get a gb worth of patch after a hard drive failure about a month back. They've consolidated the first 12 patches into one ~500mb patch, and the 2.01 (most recent) patch into another 500mb patch, so I'd assume they'd take it a step farther and include it, yes. No guarantees though.

Well, since Burning Crusade in itself IS 2.0+, you should at least receive 2.0. Then you'd need a 2.0 to 2.01 patch and so on. So far, the current version of the TBC beta is 2.03, which we're supposed to be seeing in the standard WoW version soon.

My question is... does anyone know a good store to check for the Collector's Edition of TBC? I want to pick it up, but I didn't expect EB Games to actually run out of them! I guess the demand for WoW collector's editions are a bit higher than other games (as I can just walk in and buy those just fine).

One thing about Blizzard, their Collectors Editions are just that: a Collectors edition. If its like the orignal Collectors Edition, they only make 100,000 copies.

yah, good luck getting a collector's edition now

The game itself went 'gold' Friday, so I'd imagine it has all the patches up to that point on it

To my knowledge, more stores than just EB Games and GameStop sell the collector's edition, which I was trying to find out my "best bet." I know when I bought the original game, I purchased it at Wal-Mart on release day and they didn't have any Collector's Editions.

I don't mind waiting outside a store for a bit to get a collector's edition as Blizzard's always seem to have a bit more than other companies throw into theirs. Usually you just get some DVD that you never watch.
