WOW! Another reason to love Epox!

I didnt realize my board had that...it needs to get enabled in BIOS, but still...WOOHOO! (I read the manual a coupla times...I guess it never stuck in my dumb mind that this feature was there LOL)

From 60C/140F to 100C/212F in 5C increments...the mobo will shut down the machine if it passes the given temps...WOW 🙂

Anyway...this is GREAT! With MBM/Shutdown NOW! AND hardware heat monitoring...i dont think it's feasibly possible to lose a chip to heat failure w00t w00t 🙂

(sorry if this seemed a bit dumb...but I'm all excited lol)

Do any other boards have this neato deato feature? hehe

A computer at work, which uses the MSI K7T Pro, has this as well. It tottally saved our a$$ one time already. The Delta 7000RPM fan was hooked up onto the fan header on the board, and it died. This happened during a time I was taking a few days off, and my boss was totally stumped about what happened. When I finally got back, the computer kept on beeping when after a while when I turned it on. Finally, I looked in the case, touched the heatsink, and DAMN! Burned my finger. If it didn't have the auto-shutoff and warning beeps for temperature, we'd have a nice 1gig Athlon Keychain on our hands. In my opinion, any AMD board that doesn't have this should be completely ignored by end users.

This may be a stupid question, but I'm assuming everyone here turns it on? (Is there any reason why it shouldn't be turned on?) By the way when I get my epox and the rig up it'll be in the bay area so nice cool temps.
