You'd have to have the patience of a saint to make good money on enchanting. I had to give away free enchants just to raise my skill level because there was so much competition. Getting the rare enchants are virtually impossible, and getting the mats for them is tedious.

I make a TON of money with enchanting....and I don't actually do any enchanting..
I have 3 char's - a 60 druid - main - 14 epic items, a 56 rogue - and a 16 warlock.
The druid is engineer/tribal leather, the rogue is miner/master swordsmith, and the lock is alchemy/enchanting.
Every single green item, or blue item that won't sell for a ton on it's own, I send to the warlock..who D/E's the stuff.
The lock puts the stuff in his bank till it is a full stack, then it goes to the AH - major gold for Illusion and Dream Dust, and greater eternal essences sell for a ton.
Once I get the lock up to lvl 20, I'll increase my alch skills, they are max at 150 now, and hopefully I can provide mana/health pots for my main and the BWL runs we are starting now...Razor is down, Vael is next

I may be wrong, but I believe that 35 is the minumum lvl required to max out profession skills, and on top of that, everyone on my server has a DE alt, so dust and essences aren't that profitable anymore. 10 illusion goes for 2-3 gold, as opposed to 15gold 5 months ago.

40 is the min level to get artisan crafting professions.

8+ months ago that was the case but they've changed the minimum lvl requirement to 35 now for artisan professions.
