Wow, doubling my ram is awesome (256mb -> 512mb)

Now, my PQI 256mb PC2700 ram from newegg just arrived. Popped it into the second bank, along side my Samsung PC2700 ram, and it worked like a charm. Noticed theres tons, and tons of dust inside my case, mostly around the Processor Fan and the 20-Pin PSU cable connected to my Mobo (scary kinda). Gotta get a can of air at fry's this week I guess.

Anyways, everything seems to load faster, I can now listen to music AND browse the internet with firefox without slowdown. I can now easily maximize a porgram window without my PC slowing down for three minutes (like trying to poup iTunes or foobar window to change a song). Makes me think what it will be like when I get my new system with 2GB of Ram 🙂
 
You will be pleased with 2GB...it's diminishing returns, but CivIV and Battlefield 2 both really benefitted when I went from 1GB to 2GB.

I can't imagine XP on 256 MB...512 is pertty much the minimum these days.
