Ok, now if we all group together and complain enough... maybe we can get dell to bring the rest of their tech support back here.

They used to rock back in 97, and totally sucked last time I had to use them (for work -- I don't buy Dell anymore, and refuse to unless they de-outsource).

but freaking time. We ate the cost of a new CDROM at work because it was cheaper than the time wasted trying to explain to non-native english speakers the problems.

I remember watching a news article on how they would take on American names and try an learn the in and outs of the American English in a couple weeks. Yea right good luck.

I no longer buy from companies that have tech support in non-english speaking countries.

Doesn't that remove just about any networking/motherboard/telecom company?

Doesn't Gateway still have US based Tech Support??? Im supporting them from Dell right now. Our enterprise tech has been great from them BTW. Very very helpful. 🙂

Yeah, I couldn't understand that either. I lived in this country most of my life and people still notice my accent. And these guys are supposed to learn accent-free english in just a few months???

Sorry, but it's not a matter of accent, its a matter of completely and undeniable failure to grasp basic concepts of the english language - MUCH LESS get anywhere with troubleshooting.
